About Me

Since I was a kid in shorts, I’ve had an interest in photography. Perhaps I was inspired from seeing my father’s collection of slides taken on family holidays.

In 2011, I took the plunge and bought my first DSLR, a Canon 600D. A week later, I joined a local interest group called Sydney Photo Fun and things took off from there. I took over the running of the group for a while and still help out organising events today.

I’ve always had a fascination with the night sky and it didn’t take long until I wanted to capture it with my camera. That’s been my main photographic inspiration and direction over the past few years.

Australia is a spectacular and fortunate place to live for a photographer. I’ve been lucky to capture some amazing landscapes and architecture. Ultimately, I like to combine those with the stunning dark sky of the southern hemisphere. We get a terrific view of the Milky Way from Downunder!
